Dark Mechanicus Warband

Over the last few months I have been creating a bunch of Dark Mechanicus models for a warband to be used in Inq28 games.

These fellows are Nurgle worshippers, and so have some pretty digusting ways of getting you killed. One of my ideas was to have mutant blight bombs. These vile things are vat grown and carry highly corrosive inards that once detonated eat through armour, body and soul. To guide them is a herder, who protects them as well as making sure they explode where the most damage can be done.

The idea harks back to the good old Rogue Trader days, when you could have packs of mutant bombs running around exploding all over the place. See Warhammer 40000 Compilation pg 110.

Anyway, its all work in progress and I hope to have a painting session that lasts a week to get all my models finished. Fingers crossed that happens 🙂

    1. Cheers Marcus! I’ve been stuck in a converting hole recently, I’m sure you know what that’s like 🙂 so painting will be a while off, I just have too many ideas at the moment!! I’ll need to take a holiday I think 😉 Loving your work as well, very inspiring and well executed.
