The Blight Mother

The descent into Chaos has begun! I hear the nurturing call of the Blight Mother, mistress of decay, chosen of Nurgle, the womb of plagues and she is sitting on my work bench primed and ready for painting.

I have been collecting grey bits for this project for a while now and I finally have enough       ( at least to start with ) for my Nurgle army. This first model is a 3D print of one of my champions, the Blight Mother. She was an experiment that turned out well and I plan to offer her as a model to buy through the Black Earth shop very soon. More on that later.

So for now here’s the first pic of this project, one which I haven’t undertaken in quite a while. Building an army worthy of Nurgle!

Black Earth

As teased a few weeks ago, I have been busy designing a range of scenery and bits. I now have a few items that are currently in the printing faze and once that is done I’ll be able to make the molds and get the models up on our sites shop.

It has been slow as I’ve had to do what people refer to as “proper work” but I feel I have made good progress really and I hope you guys like what you see.

I will be adding more images in the coming weeks and updates on my progress as well as explanations about the various pieces and what they can be used for.

Feed back is more than welcome and yes I will be sending out some samples once I have them made. More on that at a later date, so watch this space.

The Child of Terra painted

So I’ve been catching up with my painting rather well recently and I’m getting through the back log.

The next one to get the paint treatment is my Child of Terra. Pretty pleased with the result and I managed to get it looking the way I wanted it from the beginning ( sometimes things go a different way )

Comments and views are always welcome 🙂

Child of Terra

This is my project that uses kit bashing, sculpting and 3D printing.

The idea behind this model is to portray what a child would be like in the seething mass that is Terra.

A child is hope but that hope has already been damaged due to the harsh reality of his surroundings, his crude bionic leg is a testiment to that and the skull he cradles in his arms shows loss of a different more brutal kind.

His gaze is down cast and mournful but there is a peace to him, a resignation to the life he leads under the ever watchfull gaze of the Emperor in the decaying, sprawling halls of Terra.

The inspiration for this piece has been John Blanche and his ever inspirational art and figure painting, Ian Miller whos art is always at hand, and my fellow hobbyists who have embraced the Pilgryme path and continue to push the boundries of this hobby that we so dearly love. Your creativity knows no bounds and I thank you for being awesome.

Next pictures to come will be painted ones!

Painted Print

Here’s my 3D printed daemon host Tisiphone all painted and ready to terrorize. The detail the print achieved was really nice and she painted well and in one sitting.

I have another project on the go that uses 3D printing, sculpting and good old hacking up of bits, which I will post up soon.

Let me know what you think 🙂
