=200….. :)

Hi all!

So I reached 200 likes! I’m pretty proud of this milestone and would like to thank you all for viewing, liking and commenting on my blog posts. I’m glad you like what you see πŸ™‚

To celebrate this momentous occasion ( that might sound a bit over the top actually ) I want to show you something that’s been growing on my workbench. I’ve got a few more things to add but it’s not far off being finished.

The Chapel w.i.p 1

Today I have a few images to share of what’s on the work bench and also the low down on one awesome material.

It’s called Magilight. I’ve been using this stuff for ages and I first got introduced to it in my years in Dentistry. Magilight is an acrylic but in putty form, so you can mold it into pretty much whatever shape you want and with the use of vasiline you can do a degree of modeling but nothing to detailed. The trick up it’s sleeve though is it’s setting properties and this magic stuff only needs 5 mins of UV light to set rock hard! It’s a good material for bases and most of my models you see in this blog have got it on somewhere. Below is a few picks of my progress with a Ghost character I am making for Β The Chapel and you can see how I’ve used it.

More work is needed and a few more bits to be added but soon she will be haunting the many halls of The Chapel.

These next few characters are ready for painting and then I’ll have to decide what to call them.

Megaera the Withered

Shunned by Slaanesh and left to wither, Megaera is but a bitter, evil shell of a Daemonette she once was. Mutated and twisted, Slaanesh loves to torment her and so she is always accompanied by a troup of daemonettes as a reminder to her of all she was and all she has lost.

Taunting her they tease and dance around her, enraging her until the exquisit torment becomes too much and she explodes into a blood thirsty frenzy. Laughing, her daemon tormenters are only to happy to join in with the blood shed.

So I’ve finished painting my Daemonettes with 3D printed bodies and I modeled and painted Megaera quickly today. The model you see below is just a concept and I shall be making another one of her soon.

I like the idea of a tormented daemon that is mocked and shunned. Forced to endure for the pleasure of Slaanesh, she can’t help but take pleasure in his desire to punish her and goad her into frenzied acts of violence.dmet7dmet8dmet6dmet1dmet2dmet5dmet3dmet4

Daemonettes

Yesterday I posted a pic of a model I’d created and then 3D printed. The idea was to create new bodies to be used as Daemonettes as the GW ones are a little static in my opinion with the claws and the heads being the really useful bits.

So below you will see the finished assembled model ready for primer and a group shot of her and her buddies

I hope you like them.

More skulls please!!

Right! Because you guys are such a wonderful creative bunch with suitably twisted imaginations I’d like to give you the chance of owning a skull stack by Black Earth

skull-stack

To get one please send me a message with Name, address and blog to marksheresy@gmail.com and I’ll send one off to you for free. Thats right, FREE!! All I ask is you use them in a post.

Hurry though as I’ve only got 20 to give away at the moment and only one per person is permitted. Once all 20 are taken I shall send them out.

Also 2 of the 20 will be cast in black. Who will get them will be decided by my new borns twitchy waving arm so completely random. If you get one something will follow.

It’ll be great to see what you guys do with them.

A few more Nurgle Raptor pics

Here we have a few more pics of my Nurgle Raptors.

They are just a combination of Plague bearers, Raptors, old space marine shoulder pads and 3D printed bits for the bases, oh and a load of green stuff πŸ™‚

They will be painted in the same fashion as the rest of the army. Rusty metal, flesh and bone with hints of green and blood.
