Right! Because you guys are such a wonderful creative bunch with suitably twisted imaginations I’d like to give you the chance of owning a skull stack by Black Earth
To get one please send me a message with Name, address and blog to firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll send one off to you for free. Thats right, FREE!! All I ask is you use them in a post.
Hurry though as I’ve only got 20 to give away at the moment and only one per person is permitted. Once all 20 are taken I shall send them out.
Also 2 of the 20 will be cast in black. Who will get them will be decided by my new borns twitchy waving arm so completely random. If you get one something will follow.
It’ll be great to see what you guys do with them.
At the moment I have one project which is taking most of my time. The Chapel. More details will come in due time but for now here’s the start of a project that’ll run along side it.
The first character is the Astropath Caecilus “The warp whisperer” and his eyes the cherubium Dorus.
The colour palette for this project will be warm and cool greys from Warcolours translucent range and various washes and inks I have. The idea is to make the characters look as if they are growing out of their surroundings, as if the ground they walk on posseses them.
As always comments are welcome.
” Tell me my boy. What do you know about the Chapel?”
“Surely, my Lord, it is just a place of worship”
So I’ve been absent for a while and that’s due to being the proud father of yet another bundle of joy. My little future Golden Demon winner has been taking up, as you would expect, a lot of my time but now things are getting more managable and so it was back to the man cave for some much needed creativity.
Getting some paint flowing on my Plague Marines is what I’ve started and I’ve managed to get one finished. Overall I’m fairly happy with him, but I know I can do better. The rest of the sqaud has been started to and in the process of finishing them I’ll refine him to match.
By the way I’m loving what I’m seeing on the Blogs I follow. You guys are an endless source of inspiration and I thank you for it 🙂 Keep up the excellent work.
A quick post for a quick conversion and I’m going for a quick paint. I shall only use inks, washes, tin bitz and white scar.
The Harpy of Gelleth Prime.
I did this picture this morning showing the Harpy on her homeworld. I wanted it to look as if you were meeting her for the first time and so had to take a shot of her so she looked intimidating.
I will be doing a picture like this for the rest of the war band members as well.
Hope you like it.
Part of my Inquisitors war band.
Here’s my 3D printed daemon host Tisiphone all painted and ready to terrorize. The detail the print achieved was really nice and she painted well and in one sitting.
I have another project on the go that uses 3D printing, sculpting and good old hacking up of bits, which I will post up soon.
Let me know what you think 🙂
Over the last few months I have been creating a bunch of Dark Mechanicus models for a warband to be used in Inq28 games.
These fellows are Nurgle worshippers, and so have some pretty digusting ways of getting you killed. One of my ideas was to have mutant blight bombs. These vile things are vat grown and carry highly corrosive inards that once detonated eat through armour, body and soul. To guide them is a herder, who protects them as well as making sure they explode where the most damage can be done.
The idea harks back to the good old Rogue Trader days, when you could have packs of mutant bombs running around exploding all over the place. See Warhammer 40000 Compilation pg 110.
Anyway, its all work in progress and I hope to have a painting session that lasts a week to get all my models finished. Fingers crossed that happens 🙂
